All packed up

Last week we drove to the shipping company (Mondial) in Enfield with all the furniture for house number 2. Believe it or not these boxes contain, amongst other things, 1 king sized bed, 4 arm chairs, 1 dining table and 4 dining chairs, 2 bar stools, 2 patio chairs, 7 pairs of curtains, curtain poles, bathroom mirrors and shelves, duvets, pillows, sheets crockery, cutlery, power washer . . . . . .
.

They left for Corfu on Friday so should be there when we arrive next week

Housework and Mosquito nets

Thanassis sent us this picture of the view from the sitting room - can't wait to go back now (only one week to go) .

He also did a load of tidying up for us - getting all the contracters rubbish from the 'box' and garden and burning it.

He finally gave up on our window fitters and brought in another contracter to finish off the windows by fitting mosquito nets - essential!

Garden walls - pretty boring but we're excited

Young George (as opposed to older George the builder) has rendered our garden walls, so things are looking much tidier. In April we should be able to get Yannis back with his digger to move the earth around, and then we can start trying to get some plants underway to make it look less like a desert.
